For over a decade, Dr. Tanya Lawson, ND has been helping patients find individualized solutions for their health concerns. As a board certified naturopathic doctor who specializes in integrative, functional medicine for women, she uncovers the underlying cause of hormonal imbalances, fatigue, digestive issues, thyroid and endocrine disorders, weight gain, stress, depression and anxiety.
Originally from Canada, Dr. Lawson graduated magna cum laude from the University of Ottawa where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and was the recipient of several undergraduate scholar awards. She completed her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto where she received the Women’s Health award for excellence in women’s health promotion.
In her post-graduate studies, Dr. Lawson has completed professional training in mind-body medicine and positive psychology from Harvard Medical School, as well as stress management and weight loss training at the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind-Body Medicine in Boston. Additionally, she has also completed training in parenteral (IV) therapy and various anti-aging trainings.
Dr. Lawson began practicing in 2006 in Ontario, Canada where she founded two integrative health centers and a medical spa that focused on anti-aging and non-invasive dermatological treatments. Her work earned her the title of Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2011 at the regional business achievement awards. She is a former faculty member of Loyalist College in Belleville, Ontario where she taught post-secondary continuing education for over seven years.
Since moving to the US, she consulted for a nationally recognized cancer hospital in Atlanta offering adjunctive care for gynecological and breast cancers, as well as participated in oncology research. Her research in naturopathic medicine and oncology was accepted for presentation at a two national oncology conferences in 2015. During her time in the south, she also consulted for the largest integrative medical clinic in the southeast. Since moving to New Hampshire, Dr. Lawson is thrilled to return to private practice and looks forward to serving the northeast for many years to come.
Dr. Lawson is a current member of the New Hampshire Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. She has spoken at national conventions and has written for professional magazines. Lawson has also appeared as a wellness expert in television, radio and print.
Her patients describe her as warm and energetic, she is a passionate advocate of integrative medicine and coaches patients to take an active role in their health so they can their lives happily and healthfully.
Outside of work, Lawson enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters and being part of the Windham, NH community.
