Aesthetically Clear Skin
Microneedling is an aesthetic treatment that uses hair-thin, sterile needles to methodically pierce your skin to instigate a wound-healing and collagen-remodeling process. The aesthetic professionals at Inbloom Health + Medispa rejuvenate and firm your skin with SkinPen. What is the SkinPen? The SkinPen is the first microneedling device cleared by the FDA to resolve acne scars. It’s also the only United States-manufactured microneedling device. The SkinPen has safely and effectively treated more than 10,000 women and men around the globe. SkinPen microneedling treatments make your skin look:
Microneedling rejuvenates your skin without any surgery or downtime.
Enhancing your confidence
The benefits of microneedling include smoother, healthier, and blemish-free skin. Microneedling is safe and has very few risks involved. The SkinPen is the first FDA-approved microneedling device of its kind, and it can be used on multiple parts of the body, including the face, hands, and neck! It is non-invasive and a good alternative to facial surgeries to eliminate pesky blemishes.
Microneedling Candidates
Those with rough, damaged skin are usually the best candidates for microneedling. Acne scars and blemishes are also treatable with microneedling. Call and schedule your consultation today to find out if microneedling can help you rid your skin of those imperfections. Talk to your primary care doctor if you are pregnant or have any other medical conditions that could be affected by this treatment. If you have any questions or concerns, please ask! It’s what we’re here for.
What happens during a microneedling treatment?
Your Inbloom Health + Medispa expert first cleanses your skin and applies a numbing gel. They coat your skin with the SkinFuse® solution so that the SkinPen glides freely and smoothly. Depending on your needs, your expert may apply a custom-picked serum to your skin right after the microneedling or platelet-rich plasma (PRP) that is from your blood’s healing properties. The serum or PRP is carried by the wound channels deep down into your dermis to nourish it. They then apply a moisturizer.
How does my skin rebuild itself after microneedling?
The micro-wounds trigger a three-part healing process that takes place over the next several weeks. The phases of healing are:
Inflammation:
Increased blood flows to the area to remove debris, disinfects the tiny wounds, and begins to create new tissue.
Proliferation:
New granulation cells and new blood vessels form. The new vessels nourish your skin with oxygen and other nutrients.
Remodeling:
Your body rebuilds the wound channels with new tissue that’s rich with fresh strands of collagen and elastin to make your skin tighter, firmer, and more resilient.
When do I see my microneedling results?
After your SkinPen treatment, your skin looks radiant. However, the real benefits occur over the next six months as your skin rebuilds itself from the inside out. Our Londonderry microneedling patients may need a series of treatments to get the firm, glowing skin they desire.

Microneedling has been said to have a strange pricking sensation, and may be a little warm, but it should not hurt at all. You may feel slight discomfort if it is your first experience with microneedling, but your provider will be with you the entire time and can help if it begins to hurt at all.
There really aren’t a lot of risks involved with microneedling! Some light bruising or bleeding, swelling, redness, itching, dryness, and peeling are all possible risks associated with microneedling treatments. These side effects do not last more than a few days, most of the time only a few hours. You will want to avoid sun exposure to prevent hyperpigmentation during the healing process.
Insurance will not cover microneedling treatments as they are considered cosmetic procedures and are not medically necessary. We can discuss pricing with you during your consultation.
There are a few other options that are similar to microneedling, including radio frequency (RF) microneedling or chemical peels. Ask your provider during your consultation which treatment sounds best for your ideal outcome.
